Thank you so much for connecting with our Celebrate Women campaign! This all-volunteer effort aims to inspire people of all genders, ages and races to re-imagine how women are valued in our society.
We started by posting inspiring and thought-provoking videos, stories, photos and quotes on our Facebook page and mounted a production of Impenetrable by Mia McCullough to get the conversation going. The play has generated wonderful conversations around body positivity, compassion and awareness of our universal humanity.
To show our gratitude for your support, we’d like to offer you a special price to see the show. Simply use the following discount code online at Brownpapertickets to get $10 tickets (that’s almost 40% off our regular already low-price of only $16): Celebr8Women
A high school student who saw the show tonight, posted this comment on her Facebook page: “Just [saw] Impenetrable at SIS Productions. Absolutely incredible. I laughed, cried, thought, questioned and came out of it with a new perspective on what it means to be beautiful. I recommend this for everyone especially teen girls. This is a definite must see!”
“I always thought that people told you that you’re beautiful – that this was a title that was bestowed upon you…I think that it’s time to take this …power into our own hands and to say, you know what? I’m beautiful. I just am. And that’s my light. I’m just a beautiful woman.” – Margaret Cho
And here’s a video to get you thinking…
We encourage you to visit the different pages on this site to get inspiration on how we can all work together to make a difference. In the meantime, Celebrate Women!
